Vinted Users Express Displeasure Over Sizing Updates
Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has revised its size classifications for women's and children's garments failing to inform every member regarding the update.
Online Platforms Backlash
Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display a different size category than originally posted as a result of the reclassification.
The company said the revised method more closely matches other platforms.
It has advised users to review their products and update the measurements by hand if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Sizing System Updates
Before the change, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the sizing has been recategorised - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she explained.
Required Changes
Another shopper, located in England, said she had been left angered due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she stated.
Platform Context
The service features exceeding 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK.
It has proved a popular alternative compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: earlier, the service retracted a modification concerning shipment methods due to shopper criticism.
